In a direct خطاب to the American public, Masoud Pezeshkian has called on citizens of the United States to critically examine the purpose and beneficiaries of the ongoing conflict involving Iran.
In the letter, Pezeshkian asserted that Iran has historically avoided pursuing aggression, expansionism, colonialism, or domination throughout its modern history. He emphasized that the Iranian people bear no hostility toward other nations, including Americans, and suggested that Iran’s portrayal as a global threat is driven by “the political and economic interests of the powerful.”
Raising pointed concerns, the Iranian president questioned the underlying objectives of the war, asking: “Who exactly does this war serve in the interests of the American people?”
He further alleged that U.S. involvement may be influenced by its alliance with Israel, suggesting that Washington could be acting in alignment with Israeli interests. “Can it be said that America has not entered this aggression as a proxy for Israel, under that regime's influence and direction?” he asked.
The remarks come amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the region, as global observers continue to monitor developments and diplomatic responses from all sides.
